1. Draft 21 moved the furniture. Transport Draft 21 reorganized the document without changing the Draft 20 wire format. The September 8 interim chose Draft 20 as the target for the October Seattle interop. 2. The relay has an operator. NetActuate launched a managed MoQ Relay service on its own network of more than 45 locations. Its announcement describes dedicated relay capacity and per-hop observability. 3. Less waiting. More television. Zattoo reported roughly two seconds from signal input to playback in tests of its MoQ live-TV prototype, compared with 10–13 seconds on its production platform. The prototype was not commercially available. 4. One path. Two networks. For IBC, Netskrt and Oracle described an Oracle Video Edge relay running inside Netskrt infrastructure and coordinating with Oracle’s OCI relay network. The demonstration links separately operated networks in one delivery path. 5. Audio travels lighter. The September 8 interim discussed reducing repetitive overhead for individual low-latency audio frames from more than 100 bytes to approximately 2 bytes using LocMAF. The receiver can reconstruct the full CMAF container. A formal working-group adoption call had not yet happened. 6. From building it to running it. Arvind’s interpretation of the week: the attention is shifting from invention toward integration and operation. The protocol, implementation compatibility and operating practices still have unresolved work.
