1. Draft 22 changes the wire.
Location Filter · Length prefix · Explicit type
Working Group draft; not an RFC.
MOQT Draft 22, published October 1, changes Location Filter encoding from a length prefix to an explicit type. Most of the revision is editorial, but this exception changes the wire format and implementers must account for it. Draft 22 remains a Working Group Internet-Draft, not an RFC.

2. One drawer or two?
Top-N / SSTS · Core? · Extensions?
Placement discussion; no consensus call yet.
The chairs asked whether top-N and Sender-Side Track Switching should live in core MOQT or separate extension RFCs. Both are proposed mechanisms. The September 28 discussion is not a consensus call; their eventual placement remains undecided.

3. Trim the wrapper. Keep the film.
LOCMAF · Compact headers · Same sample bytes
Proposal awaits MPEG feedback before adoption.
LOCMAF proposes compact representation of CMAF chunk-header metadata while keeping the media sample bytes unchanged. The public liaison asks MPEG for feedback before a formal adoption call. It is proposed packaging, not an adopted Working Group standard.

4. Refuse the request. Keep talking.
moq-relay 0.17.0 · NOT_SUPPORTED · Session survives
Valid unsupported operations no longer close the session.
moq-relay 0.17.0 accepts valid wire forms and returns per-request NOT_SUPPORTED for operations it does not implement, instead of ending the whole session as a protocol violation. This is an implementation-specific conformance improvement, not proof of universal interoperability.

5. Give the stream time to move.
moq-relay 0.17.0 · GOAWAY · Drain deadline
Planned restart handover; JavaScript edge cases remain.
moq-relay 0.17.0 adds graceful draining through GOAWAY, with notice and a deadline so clients can migrate before the old session closes. JavaScript group-boundary handover and new-request handling remain follow-ups. This is not a guarantee that every restart will be invisible.
